Skilled Trades Grant

For the third year in a row, 21st Century Plastics was awarded a Skilled Trades Training Fund from the State of Michigan through Capital Area Michigan Works! 

This year the grant money was used toward a variety of training, with a focus on RISK Assessment using FMEA (failure Mode and Effects Analysis), and problem-solving tools and techniques, such as 8D, DMAIC strategy (define, measure, analyze, improve and control), 5 Why, Pareto, run and control charts, flowcharts and value stream mapping, fishbone charts, and brainstorming techniques.  

Several employees were able to participate in the training, including our Senior Management and quality planning teams.
